Changes & Beyond is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, focused on two key initiatives: inmate rehabilitation and youth development.

Application Period:

Open: October 17, 2024
Close: December 15, 2024
Review/Selection of Candidates End: December 31st, 2024
New Board Members Announced: January 2025

Board Member Term & Commitment:

Term Length: 12 months
Meetings: Quarterly (4 times per year)
Volunteering: Each board member is required to volunteer at one Changes and Beyond event annually (min.)

What You’ll Do as a Board Member:

Strategic Planning & Governance: Help guide Changes and Beyond's mission, ensuring that our programs continue to meet the needs of the individuals we serve.
Community Advocacy: Be an ambassador for our mission, raising awareness of our services and helping build connections in the community.
Fundraising & Finances: Actively participate in fundraising efforts and provide input on the financial overview of the organization.
Event Volunteering: Each board member will support at least one of our events annually, engaging with the community and directly contributing to our mission.
Collaboration & Leadership: Work strategically with other board members and leadership to drive initiatives forward and provide valuable expertise.
Commitment to Diversity & Rehabilitation: Uphold our core values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and support our focus and objectives to uplift the individuals that we serve.
